Youth Employment and Apprenticeships

Aboriginal Community Career and Employment Services Society (ACCESS) – Trades and Apprenticeship Training

Training and employment opportunities can sometimes seem difficult to find and access. The BC Métis Federation strongly believes that training and jobs are important to the current and future success of Métis youth in British Columbia. Income and education are both considered social determinants of health, and programs such as ACCESS Trades provides opportunities for apprenticeship and training for the Indigenous community, for Métis youth, and for BC Métis Federation members. Their services are intended for those interested in becoming certified in one of many possible trades. Through their partnerships with government, training institutes, employers, trade organizations and community groups they provide not only the necessary training but the connections needed to attain employment. There are a number of locations available for exploration through MyVoyageur.ca.
